I don't know anyone with a Dad quite like you... Whether it was your contagious passion for books, birds, butterflies and badgers, or your thoughtful (and very detailed) advice about life choices, I learnt so much from you and you encouraged and inspired me and always willl. 

So many memories are jostling for attention in my mind right now, it's difficult to pick out just one or two. I'll always remember your calmness and patience, even when I sleepwalked down to the landing and you talked and listened quietly to me for hours, waiting for me to wake up so I could walk safely back up to my bedroom. 

Outwardly you seemed passive, but you were secretly courageous right to the end. You were an exceptional person in so many ways...

I love you Dad. You will be in my thoughts and my heart forever.
